Supporting the educational advancement of California Valley Miwok citizens at every stage of learning.

Vision

The Education Committee coordinates educational opportunities for Tribal members and their families.

Information & referral. Provide tribal citizens with current information on educational benefits, federal Indian education programs, and outside scholarship resources for which they may qualify.
School coordination. Serve as a point of contact between tribal citizens, the tribe, and local school districts, Indian Education programs (Title VI), and post-secondary institutions.
Native American Heritage Month. Support culturally accurate education about California Native peoples in schools serving tribal children and the broader public.
Citizen advocacy. Advocate for the educational interests of CVMT citizens in matters before educational agencies and policymakers.
Boys and Girls Club of the California Valley Miwok Tribe. Provides opportunities for language classes and educational workshops.
