A note on government-to-government consultation

As a federally recognized sovereign nation, the California Valley Miwok Tribe is entitled to government-to-government consultation under federal law and Executive Order 13175. Agencies and project proponents seeking to initiate consultation should write to the Tribal Council at the address above, identifying the project, the federal nexus, the resource or interest at issue, and the proposed timeline. Allow adequate time for the Council and the appropriate committee to respond.
