Standing Committees
Each committee is established under the CVMT constitution and serves a defined function in tribal governance.
Cultural Resources
Stewardship of cultural heritage; identification and protection of culturally significant sites; consultation with federal and state agencies on NAGPRA and Section 106. Visit Department
Education
Coordination of educational resources and support for the academic advancement of tribal citizens across all stages of learning. Visit Department
Enrollment
Administration of tribal enrollment under the CVMT Constitution. Maintenance of accurate citizenship records and processing of enrollment applications. Visit Department
Financial
Oversight of tribal budgets, financial reporting, and the transparent administration of the tribe's resources, contracts, and federal program funding. Visit Department
ICWA
Coordination of cases under the federal Indian Child Welfare Act, working to protect the connection of tribal children to family, community, and culture. Visit Department
Each committee reports to the Tribal Council.
All standing committees are chartered under the CVMT Constitution adopted in October 2024 and operate under the supervision of the elected Tribal Council.
